Cat Breeds

American Shorthairs are very athletic cats, and has a larger, leaner, and more powerfully built body than its relation, the British shorthair. It is also known as a “working cat”. They come in more than 80 different colors and patterns, including calico, tabby and all white. They are known for living long life’s, and can live to be 20 years old with good care.

The Maine Coon is known for its large size, easygoing personality, and rugged appearance. The Maine Coon is a breed of domestic cat with a characteristic physical appearance. It is one of the oldest natural breeds in North America, in the state of Maine; it is the official State Cat.

Bengal’s are breed to generate a household cat that has bodily features characteristic to the small forest-dwelling wild cats, but with the loving, loyal personality of the domestic cat. They are very loving. Often described as having a ‘dog like’ qualities and they are easily trained.

The Siamese is one of the oldest breeds of domestic cat and has a history as long and colorful as the cat itself. The Siamese is also (debatably) the most identifiable breed on the earth. The breed customary of the modern Siamese Cat indicates a graceful, slim, elegant, flexible and well muscled body. Its head is triangular formed, with a thin nose.

Abyssinian breed is a few thousand years old and comes from Ancient Egypt, as the cats look a lot like those in ancient paintings. It has developed into one of the most popular breeds of shorthair cats in the United States. The Abyssinian is a friendly gifted cat, very people orientated, exceptionally active and a cat that thrives on contact and play.

The American Curl cat has energetic personality showing significance in all activities around him. He is also a very “people oriented” cat. They take pleasure in being with their owners and are very clever, loving and loyal. American Curl owners around the world to the highest degree enjoy the loyal temperament of this cat.

The owners of the Savannah state that it has a lovable, outgoing behavior and is said to be more dog like in their personality. The temperament of a Savannah is predictable. However, no matter how far these cats are from the original wild cat, they are very energetic and curious and very high maintenance. They absolutely need constant supervision, particularly around other pets and animals.

The Persian is a longhaired cat characterized by its round face and shortened muzzle. One of the oldest cat breeds, it takes its name from its place of origin: Persia (Iran). These stunning cats have a lovable, gentle personality, with a quite easy on the ear voice. They make magnificent family pets because they adjust so easily to their surroundings.

Russian Blues are well-known for their lush blue coat, which is consistent in color from one cat to another. The Russian Blue is occasionally shy although very loving personality. Egyptian Mau Cat’s have a glossy coat. Its coat is average in length. The eyes are large and are slanting slightly toward the cat’s ears. The Egyptian Mau has frequently been thought of as remote and shy. To some extent, the Mau can be, but the Egyptian Mau has a particular attraction with its owners.
