Cat Kidney Disease Symptoms and Treatment

Cat Kidney Disease

Kidney disease is one of the most severe medical problems in cats, often making your veterinarian to give your feline a poor diagnosis!

A feline’s kidneys are used to free themselves of toxins and uphold normal balances of sodium, phosphorus and other essentials in their blood. If the kidneys are not performing properly it is referred to as either Chronic Renal Failure (CRF), or Acute Renal Failure (ARF).
The most important difference is that CRF is treatable but not reversible, while AFT is reversible but not really treatable. Sadly, most veterinarians have a tough time distinguishing between the two!
